2020-21 Parent Volunteer Activities
ASSIST THE STUDENTS ENTERING SCHOOL
We are in need of 5 volunteeers per slot (you may sign up for both slots each day). There will be 2 working the sanitizer stations (reminding boys and observing), 1 helping with secondary screening (Southwest corner of gym), 1 helping with isolation area (northwest corner), and 1 roaming and ready to fill in as needed. Faculty and staff are also at hand to answer questions as boys enter for school but our presence allows them to have more flexibility to assist students with other questions and needs. Sign-up
VOLUNTEER THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
Welcome! Your involvement in helping Rockhurst has a tremendous impact on our school. Volunteering is a fun and exciting way to meet other parents and make friends while getting involved with your son’s education. There are many volunteer opportunities throughout the school year, if you’d like to assist in any way, please provide your contact information by clicking the link below. As volunteers are needed, you will be contacted for each specific event.
Each class has a monthly or quarterly social gathering for moms and/or dads. Generally, this is a potluck luncheon from 11:00-1:30 or a happy hour, in a parent's home, in which the moms attend. Occasionally, this event will be at a restaurant, in the evening, or may include the dads. The Lunch Bunch Coordinators will send an invitation through Evite, Sign-up Genius, or similar program. If you do not want to receive the emails, you may opt-out.
Rockhurst Spectacular Auction will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021
The auction team needs many volunteers for big and small jobs. The list of committees and a brief description of their purpose will be published soon. The respective committee chairs and team captains will be in contact with their team volunteers. Alumni parents are welcome! If you would like more specific details, please contact Moira Healy, Director of Parent Engagement and Major Events at 816-363-2036 or email@example.com.
MEAL OF THE WEEK 2020-21
MEAL OF THE WEEK was such a hit last year! The Morris Family purchased this wonderful item at our auction this past spring! Will you help with cooking a meal for them this year?
Our goal is to make them feel like they are king and queen each Thursday during the school year. We ask that the meals be mainly homemade and could serve a family of up to 6 people. Please include a salad, side dish, main course, and dessert. Anything that you might want to add to make it fun and memorable is highly encouraged. There are no food allergies in the family but they do have an aversion to mushrooms! Volunteer for Meal of the Week!
