Alumni Reunion Week

Date: September 15-19, 2026

A time to reconnect with classmates, return to campus, and celebrate shared memories and milestones. Reunion Week includes class gatherings, campus events, and opportunities to engage with students and faculty. The 2026 Alumni Reunion Week will celebrate classes ending in 1s, 6s, and all Golden Hawklets. Learn more here!

All Alumni Night

Date: November 5, 2026

All Alumni Night is a signature gathering that celebrates the full breadth of the Rockhurst community. The evening highlights current students, recognizes alumni across generations, and reflects on the traditions, values, and relationships that have made Rockhurst special for more than a century. By attending, alumni help affirm the continuity of the Rockhurst experience and the shared responsibility to carry it forward.

  • Freshman Days For Others

    Dates: February 23, 2026; April 14, 2026
    Dates for 2026-27 Academic Year: TBA

    Freshman Days for Others are quarterly service days that introduce students to the call to be "men for others" through direct engagement across the Kansas City community. Alumni volunteers serve alongside faculty and students, offering presence, leadership, and perspective as freshmen encounter the real-world impact of service at a formative stage in their Rockhurst journey.

  • Alumni Reunion Football Tailgate

    Date: September 18, 2026

    Help continue the tradition of Rockhurst's Alumni Reunion Week football tailgate, which also includes a celebration of our Alumni Award Winners and Sports Hall of Fame inductees.

  • Freshman Retreat

    Date: September 25, 2026

    The Freshman Retreat is a formative moment in a student's first year at Rockhurst. Alumni presence offers something no program can replicate: perspective shaped by experience. By being present, listening, and sharing insight, alumni help freshmen reflect on who they are becoming and model what it looks like to carry Rockhurst values beyond the school walls.

  • Don Ramsey Debate Invitational

    Date: November 2026 (date TBA)

    The Don Ramsey Debate Invitational is one of the city’s largest tournaments and a showcase for one of the state’s strongest debate programs. Alumni play a vital role as judges and event volunteers, offering feedback, perspective, and support that keep the tournament running smoothly and elevate the experience for students.

  • "Spectacular" Auction Week

    Date: April 18, 2026

    Rockhurst Spectacular Week is a school-wide celebration that brings together students, faculty, families, and alumni in support of Rockhurst’s mission. Throughout the week, alumni are invited to participate in multiple events that raise critical funds for programs that shape the Rockhurst experience. Whether joining an event or supporting from afar, alumni involvement helps sustain the traditions, opportunities, and formation that define the school.

  • Catholic Charities + Hy-Vee Food Drives

    Dates: Third Saturday of each month (typically)

    Monthly Hy-Vee Food Drive service opportunities with Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas. We are excited to offer this as an option for teams, clubs, student groups, and alumni to engage in Ignatian service. Runs from March 2026 through December 2026. Typically take place on the third Saturday of each month at Hy-Vee (79th & State Line). Each date includes two shifts (10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.) with space for four students and one adult chaperone per shift.

  • Prospective Student Welcome Night

    Date: May 2026 (date TBA)

    Prospective Student Welcome Night is a meaningful opportunity for alumni to serve as ambassadors for the Rockhurst experience. By engaging with prospective families, alumni help parents understand what the journey through — and beyond — Rockhurst truly looks like, sharing firsthand perspective on formation, brotherhood, and life after graduation. Your presence helps families envision not just four years, but the long arc of a Rockhurst education.

  • Summer TIE Trips

    Dates: May 24-30 (Appalachia), July 5-11 (Appalachia), July 19-25 (Tijuana), July 26-August 1 (Kansas City)

    Total Ignatian Experience (TIE) trips for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors that require adult chaperones.
