Principal's Letter

With pleasure I welcome you to the Rockhurst High School website.  Whether you are a current student or parent, prospective student or parent, alumnus, or curious visitor, I welcome you to this place.  It is my hope that our web site helps to provide you a better idea of what it is like to be a part of the Rockhurst community.

Since the establishment of the school in 1910, Rockhurst has striven to educate and form young men in the Roman Catholic, Jesuit tradition.  We are part of the even longer history of Roman Catholic, Jesuit education, one that began in 1548.   Though much has changed since that first day of school, over 100 years ago, our adherence to the Catholic and Jesuit values has not changed.  The men and women of our faculty and staff work alongside the Jesuits to assist our students in discovering and developing their gifts and talents for the greater glory of God and toward the common good of all people.  Through a rigorous academic program and a vast array of co-curricular activities, we strive to form young men to be “men for others.”

Our core values of competence, conscience, and compassion have guided our students, faculty, and staff as we pursue excellence in all things.  Please, take some time to get to us know through the website.  If you would like more information or have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam,

Rev. Vincent Giacabazi, S.J.
Principal
