Encountering Christ with St. Ignatius:  An 8-week Lenten Group Prayer Retreat
God desires a relationship with you.  Prayer is our relationship with God.  St. Ignatius of Loyola found ways of engaging with God in prayer that allows our hearts to open more readily to God’s action in our life and find God more easily despite the noise of our social milieu.  Encountering Christ incorporates the wisdom of St. Ignatius, daily prayer exercises, and weekly gatherings to learn and to share your experience facilitated by Ignatian prayer guides to help you encounter God in your prayer and find God in your everyday life experiences.
Participants in the past have shared
“It established a framework for a more fruitful prayer life.  It taught me how better to ask God for what I truly need.”
“The methods of prayer are very helpful.  The focus on a daily time with God is eye opening and makes the prayer meaningful.”
“Excellent retreat!”  One of the best retreats I have been to.”
Tuesday evenings, February 25 – April 21, 2020(we will not meet during Spring Break)
The cost for this experience is $70.

Father/Son Mass

Fathers and sons are invited to join us every first Tuesday of the month in the Chapel of the Sacred Heart for the celebration of Mass.  Mass begins at 7 a.m. each month, with donuts, coffee, juice, and camaraderie to follow.  A great way for fathers and sons to deepen their own relationships, as well as their relationships with God.

Men’s Day of Reflection

Since 1994, the men of Rockhurst High School have gathered once a year to pause and enjoy a moment of calm in their busy lives.  To reflect about their own lives and the lives of those they have influenced.  To renew their drive to be the best husbands, fathers, brothers, sons, and friends they can possibly be.  To rededicate themselves as Catholic Christians devoted to the lifelong service of Christ.

This year’s Men’s Day of Reflection is set for Saturday, February 8, 2020.  A wonderful way to start the Lenten season.

The day begins with coffee and donuts at 8:30 a.m. in Rockhurst High School’s Pesci Atrium located inside the main State Line Road entrance.  Lunch is served and participants have the opportunity to take part in the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the course of the day.  Guests are encouraged to bring a Bible for use during personal reflection.  The program concludes with the Celebration of the Mass at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Sacred Heart, which is open to family and friends.
