Strategic Vision

For two years, Rockhurst invited alumni, families, faculty and staff, friends, and professional partners into a conversation about the future of our school. Through countless conversations and gatherings, a shared vision began to emerge — one rooted in our Jesuit mission and guided by a desire to ensure that every young man who enters Rockhurst is prepared to become a "man for others."

That vision, Toward a Hope-Filled Future (below), was shared with the community in spring 2023. 

But the work did not end with its publication. 

Small groups continued to explore the strategic priorities identified in its pages, bringing their recommendations to the Board of Trustees for thoughtful discernment. The Trustees then consolidated and prioritized those ideas, ultimately approving the initiatives that would become the foundation of The FORTIS Campaign.

Through FORTIS, the vision published in 2023 is becoming reality.

With a goal of raising $40 million, FORTIS is the largest capital campaign in Rockhurst's history — a bold investment in the strength, accessibility, and enduring mission of our school. Launched quietly in 2024–25, the campaign was publicly launched on September 9, 2026, with nearly $32 million already secured.
