Class of 2030 Admissions Welcome

Hello from Rockhurst High School!  The Catholic, Jesuit, all-male, college preparatory high school of Kansas City.  We hope you enjoyed your summer and are ready for a great 8th grade year.

We are excited to welcome you to the high school admissions season.  Our hope is to provide information about Rockhurst and our application process for your current 8th grade son.  Please check out our 2025 Admissions Look Book & Admissions Video highlighting the unique advantage of a Rockhurst education, from our variety of leading academic curriculum, project based and real world experiential learning, STEAM connections, opportunities for spiritual growth, an array of co-curricular activities and athletic programs, and more.

Fall 2025 Admissions Process Timeline:
  • 8th grade Shadow visits - Does your son want to spend the day at the Rock with a freshman or sophomore to see what life is like being a Rockhurst student?  We have many dates available for the first semester.  For information and to sign up, please follow THIS LINK!  Our first available shadow day is Monday, September 8, 2025!
  • Tuesday September 2,2025 - Academic Application & Financial Aid application portals open.
  • Attend one, or multiple, of our admissions events this Fall!  Information and registration links can be found in the Events section below.
  • Saturday, December 6, 2025 - High School Placement Test (HSPT).
  • Monday, December 15, 2025 - Early Application Decision Deadline.  If your academic application and financial aid application (if applicable) is complete by December 15th, you will go through our first batch of application committee review.  Applications completed after December 15th will be on a rolling admissions review process until the class is full.
  • Friday, February 6, 2026 - Academic/Financial Aid application decisions will be emailed out to those that completed the application process by December 15, 2025.
  • Mid-March, 2026 - Rockhurst will host the Class of 2030 Registration Night.

Meet the Team

Mr. Steve Redmond '04 - Director of Admissions

Steve joins the Admissions Team, with a deep passion for marketing and education. After graduating Rockhurst High School in 2004, Steve went on to play football at the University of Missouri graduating in 2008. Steve has three daughters and his wife Kassie has spent her career in education inspiring Steve to make the switch. He is excited to breath some new life into the admissions process at Rockhurst.

Beth is entering her seventh year at Rockhurst High School as part of the Admissions Team, after spending 10 years in the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph as a teacher and administrator.  Beth graduated from St. Teresa's Academy in 2002, is a 2006 graduate of DePaul University, and received her Master's in Teaching and Learning from Avila University in 2016. She looks forward to continuing to guide families through the admissions process in her new role.
