Most of us have been in some version of lockdown for a year now. While many schools have been closed, Rockhurst High School had been open for in-person learning, faithfully forming its students with the kind of quality Jesuit formation that has made The Rock famous for 110 years.
Join us to hear how four of Rockhurst High School’s best have dealt with caring for our students during the pandemic. They will discuss the formation at Rockhurst High School during the past 40 years; offer their own thoughts about challenges for educators; and reminisce about their favorite people, memories, and moments in service to The Rock.
Our panel will include:
Eric Berg who is now the elder statesman of The Rock since joining the faculty in 1981 and remains one of the most beloved teachers, counsellors, and coaches for generations of Hawklets.
Matt Darby ’00 who became the quintessential Rockhurst Man after starting his career in 2004 and connecting right away with students as an English teacher, coach, and now as dean of students.
Molly Reardon who has been a favorite of students and parents since starting at The Rock in 2001 with her unique style of teaching Theology and spirituality that exudes positivity and hope.
Paul Winkeler who garners his well-earned reputation as one of the top science teachers and coaches in the state with his leadership in STEAM curricular development, NASA sponsored study of astronomy, and record breaking championships in swim and dive.
