Six Students Qualify for State Speech & Debate
Over March 18-19 at the MSHSAA District 9 Speech & Debate Tournament, the Rockhurst Speech & Debate Team took 1st Place in Debate Sweepstakes and qualified six students to the MSHSAA State Speech & Debate Championship! It will be held over April 21-23 at Missouri State University in Springfield.
- Levi McConnell '22 - Prose Reading (District Champion)
- Isaiah Moncrieffe '22 - Lincoln-Douglas Debate (District Champion)
- Maddux Radosevic '23 - Radio Speaking (District Champion)
- Caleb Dawson '24 & Aidan O'Donnell '24 - Public Forum Debate (District Champions)
- Lukas Pitman '23 - United States Extemporaneous Speaking (3rd Place)
The team also had four additional event finalists:

- Thomas Kennedy '23 - Lincoln-Douglas Debate (4th Place)
- Ian Kennedy '25 - Poetry Reading (8th Place)
- Patrick Sanders '25 - Humorous Interpretation (5th Place)
