Multimedia Students juniors Tyler Amundsen from Introduction to Movie Making and Martin Radosevic from Introduction to Broadcasting have been named finalists in Avila University's "Make It!" High School Film Contest. Winners will be announced on April 11.

Rockhurst Academic Worldquest Team repeated as champions of the Greater Kansas City Academic Worldquest competition sponsored by the International Relations Council. The team was led by returning team members: senior captain Kenneth Berglund and junior Blaise Rebman, as well as senior Zach Klamann and junior Mikhail Faulconer. They won an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington DC to compete in the National Academic Worldquest competition in April. This is the third time that Rockhurst has won in 10 years of competition. 

Rockhurst Chess Team competed at the State Tournament on Saturday, March 28. The freshman team earned 3rd place; top finishers included Joseph Abousharkh, Austin Vince, and special congratulations to Michael Crowe, who placed 9th. The senior team earned 6th place; top finishers included Matt Tierney who finished 4th place on board 4, Cody Barry  who placed 2nd on board 3, Noah Boucher who medaled on board 2, and Justin Vince who placed 6th on board 2.

Returning Student Enrollment Contracts will be mailed the week after Spring Break and are due back at Rockhurst by April 15, 2015. Returning Student Financial Aid applications are due April 1, 2015 to FAIR.
