Rockhurst Model UN had 23 students participate in the University of Toronto Model United Nations on Feb. 6-7.  Over 500 students from 45 schools across North America participated in this conference and the Rockhurst Model UN team turned in a strong performance in its first venture outside of the United States. Senior Calaway Scholes and Junior Philip Brain led the way.  Philip was recognized as the Best Delegate on his crisis committee dealing with the Hannibalic Wars.  Calaway was recognized as the Outstanding Delegate on the Ad Hoc Committee, which was the most challenging at the conference since students were not given any information about the topics or their assignments before the conference.  Calaway was able to complete his exemplary Rockhurst Model UN career with his 7th award in his 7th conference.

The Chess Team took 1st Place at the Onaga High School Tournament with sophomore Joe Abousharkh winning four games and losing two on 4th board, junior Jacob Bresette winning four games and losing two on 3rd board, senior Noah Boucher winning four and losing two on 2nd board, and senior Aidan Decker winning five games and losing one on 1st board.  Aidan won the tournament individually, in a 3-way tie for 1st Place, out of 108.
