Admission Process for Transfer Students
Rockhurst High School accepts a limited number of transfer students at the beginning of each semester. In order to apply for transfer admission, a student must be a freshman, sophomore or junior in good standing at his current school with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Only students transferring from another Jesuit high school or a Catholic school outside of the Kansas City area are considered for admission for their senior year.
The priority deadline for students wishing to transfer for the fall semester is April 14, 2017. Students will be notified if they have been admitted by May 15, 2017. Applications received after April 14 will be reviewed on a rolling basis if spaces become available.
The priority deadline for students wishing to transfer for the spring semester is November 15, 2016. Students will be notified if they have been admitted by December 16, 2016. Applications received after November 15, 2016 will be reviewed on a rolling basis if spaces become available. Rockhurst High School does not admit students mid-semester.
Application for transfer admission to Rockhurst High School requires the submission of the following materials:
- Application for Admission
- Transcript Release Form
The transcript should include grades from the previous school year and up to date grades from the current school year as well as standardized testing scores that have been taken within the past year. These include the HSPT or Explore (for current freshmen) and the PSAT or Plan test for current sophomores and juniors.
- School Recommendation Forms
This form should be given to your English and Math teachers and returned to Office of Admission.
