Summer Camp:  Rockhurst Readiness Program

The Rockhurst Readiness summer program is designed to introduce incoming freshmen to essential technology skills identified by department chairs. Students will leave the session with notes and a folder system set up for the upcoming school year to assist them with the following skills:

General Technology Skills

Creating a folder - Useful for all departments
--Students will set up folders for the school year
Zipping and unzipping documents - CSE and CA departments
Document Preparation/Formatting Documents - Useful for all departments
Basics of Google - Useful for all departments
Email etiquette - Useful for all departments
Calendar request - Counseling and Admissions
Creating graphics using SmartArt - Science
Spanish characters - Modern and Classical Languages

Excel/Google Sheets Skills

Setting up a spreadsheet - Math, Science, CA
Copying information in cells - Math, Science, CA
Basic Formulas - Math, Science and CSE
Graphing of data - Math, Science and CSE
Calculating grades

Presentation Basics

Formatting a presentation-All departments

All departments
