There are lots of ways for parents to get involved spiritually at Rockhurst High School!
Women of Rockhurst Retreat
Mother Mary and the Power of the Pause!
A Lenten Morning of Reflection on Mary, Mother of the Interior Life.
Please join us Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in McGee Hall.
Teresa Monaghen, a consecrated woman with the Apostolic Oblates and Pro Sanctity Movement, will share with us meaningful and simple ways of living a deep interior life, that is the way of holiness in your everyday, ordinary way of living. She will highlight Our Lady and her “power of the pause,” for growth in the spiritual life. Teresa will give examples from saints in all walks of life who followed the way of our Lady: Saint Teresa of Calcutta, Saint John Paul II, Saint Gianna Molla, Saint Zelie Martin, Mother of St. Therese… There will be times of presentation, silence and sharing, opportunities for prayer and preparing in order to live in the spirit of our Lady!
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the Retreat starting at 9:00 a.m. The Retreat concludes with Mass, celebrated by Rev. Terrence Baum, SJ, President of Rockhurst High School, followed by a delicious and homemade luncheon, including soups, salads and desserts. The Women of Rockhurst Retreat is a beautiful opportunity for all to come together for a day of spiritual connection and discernment, prayer and reflection, in an informal setting. Women of all faiths are encouraged and welcome to attend. Please join us!
