Summer Camp:  Moviemaking

In this week long camp, students will explore storyboarding, scriptwriting, filming and editing a 3-5 minute video.  Students will use iPads and iMovie in this camp. This week-long camp is open to all age groups.

About the Instructor

Nicole Smith holds a Master’s of Art in Education from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Communications degree from the University of Florida.  She currently serves as Communication Arts department chair at Rockhurst High School.  She teaches Introduction to Moviemaking, Advanced Filmmaking and several other courses.

DATES: Session 1: Monday, June 10 - Thursday, June 13; 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

  Session 2: Monday, June 17 - Thursday, June 20; 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

  Session 3: Monday, June 24 - Thursday, June 27; 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

LOCATION: Rockhurst High School, 9301 State Line Rd., KCMO

WHO: Students entering grades 6 - 12, boys & girls
