The Rockhurst High School National Alumni Association will host a Reunion Party
at the annual Kelley Wilson BBQ (KWBBQ)
on Friday, June 4, 2021
, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
There will be terrific barbecue, drinks, live music, and of course, lots of good memories.
Your Rockhurst High School reunion in 2020 had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the stormy clouds of the virus starting to clear, it is time for some Rockhurst High School style festivities.
Join your fellow Hawklets and come home to The Rock to reminisce about good times of the past, while refreshing and renewing friendships as we look forward to a bright future.
The KWBBQ has become one of Rockhurst High School's most popular events. It is one of the region's most competitive barbecue contests and a great time for everyone who attends. The KWBBQ is a sanctioned
Kansas City BBQ Society activity.

Rockhurst High School is committed to providing a safe and healthy Kelley Wilson BBQ (KWBBQ) and alumni reunion experience for all our guests on June 4, 2021. To ensure such an environment exists, our goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 and that requires full cooperation among our alumni, guests, and competitors.
Rockhurst High School’s COVID-19 Preparedness Plan for the KWBBQ and alumni reunions follows the industry guidance developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for “Personal and Social Activities,” click here
to read, which has been endorsed by the Missouri Department of Health (MDH) guidelines for COVID-19, Missouri Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MOSHA) statutes, rules and standards, and the City of Kansas City’s relevant and current executive orders.
• ensuring individuals who are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19 are not admitted to the BBQ or reunion;
• social distancing – guests remain at least six-feet apart, whenever possible;
• proper hygiene and source controls, including face coverings, are in place;
• cleaning and disinfection protocols are followed in public places; and,
• drop-off, pick-up and delivery practices and protocol are followed, including temperature taking of each visitor.
