The Student Government Association
(SGA) is a highly visible and active organization at Rockhurst High School. Members of the SGA serve the student body by sponsoring and organizing a variety of activities, service projects, and represent the student body to the faculty and school administration.
The Student Government sponsors and organizes many events at Rockhurst: semi-formal dances and mixers, Homecoming, Freshmen Orientation Brothers Program, the Harvest Food Drive, and Spring Mission Week. The Student Government works in conjunction with other student clubs/activities providing support for school spirit activities and resources.

Student Government Communications
Communication is the life-blood of any organization. It is critical for an organization like SGA as it is for any institutional agency to communicate with its constituents. Communication, if it is truly good communication, must involved both listening and speaking. It is also the responsibility of all parties engaged in communication to both listen and talk. Therefore SGA has set up the following avenues for communication to and with the Rockhurst High School student body:
1. SGA Barry Commons bulletin board
2. Daily PA announcements
3. SGA's Rockhurst web site
4. Special announcements and videos
5. Hallway and homeroom posters
6. Electric signs in both the cafeteria and Barry Commons
7. Monthly publication/posting of SGA agenda items
8. Monthly publication/posting of SGA general meeting minutes
9. Weekly publication/posting of the SGA Weekly Agenda
10. Monthly publication/posting of Student Life Committee Agenda
11. Monthly publication/posting of Student Life Committee Minutes
12. Monthly PA announcement asking for SGA and Student Life meetings agenda items
13. Posted Spirit Contest events and class points
14. Posted Excel sheet of all fund drive collections
15. Published Senior and Junior Spring activities bulletin
16. Published Senior Dates and expected activities expense sheet
